Rites of Passage & Youth Mentorship  | Ritual Theatre

As a therapeutic mentor, ritual guide, and group facilitator, Kevin offers himself in service to the healing and enlivening energies that flow deeply through our inner lives, our communities, and the natural world. His work begins with deep listening — attending to the true needs and desires of the soul, whether they are freely expressed or buried beneath layers of protection, depression or amnesia. It is his conviction that when these deeper energies are contacted and courted, the renewal of purpose, meaning, belonging, vitality becomes genuinely possible.

Drawing on depth psychology, parts-work, psychodynamic processes, myth and story, creative expression, Jungian dreamwork, and the ancestral technologies of ritual and rites of passage, Kevin guides people back into living relationship with their inner life, with nourishing community, and with the natural world. His deepest hope is that in serving individuals and groups in this way, something larger can constellate: a deeply nourishing culture of connection, meaning, and vitality that has always been our birthright.

Kevin is currently immersed in Ritual Studies at East Tennessee State University, exploring ritual and rites of passage through the interwoven lenses of Depth Psychology, Anthropology, and Religious Studies. He also serves as a recovery guide at Red Oak Recovery, where he leads wilderness immersion ceremonies, experiential therapeutics, and psychoeducational groups for men in recovery. And in the margins of it all, he is excitedly bringing a Rites of Passage program for teens to life this coming fall.

Rites of Passage mark a youth's crossing from childhood into adolescence, or from adolescence into young adulthood. The more sustained and in-depth the preparation for these crossings, the more powerful and meaningful they become.

In mentoring young people — whether toward a Rite of Passage or simply in support of healthy growing-up — I listen for what is alive in them: their curiosity, their passions, their hunger to explore and create. From there, I help them find pathways where that aliveness can be expressed and thrive.

Central to this mentorship is a shared exploration of what it means to be human — through myth, story, and ancestry; values and ethics; philosophy; art and craft; nature connection; and spirituality.

Men’s Groups offer a space to reconnect with the strength and support of authentic brotherhood. In a culture where many men feel isolated, this work helps rebuild connection, trust, and shared purpose.

Together, we deepen emotional honesty, strengthen integrity and accountability, and learn to support one another with attunement, presence and respect. Through shared experience and mutual witnessing, each man is invited to explore his gifts, challenges, and deeper self to find greater clarity, authenticity, and purpose.

In 1:1 therapeutic mentoring sessions, I offer a space of genuine presence, curiosity, and care — attuned to both the emotional and the bodily dimensions of your experience. We work with what you bring, moving at a pace that honors your unique process and the deeper rhythms of your life.

Drawing from eco-therapeutics, Jungian dreamwork, parts work, ritual, and mindfulness, I support you in reconnecting with your own inner wisdom and capacity for healing. Together we explore what is asking to be seen, understood, or transformed — moving toward greater self-knowledge, authenticity, and a more embodied sense of wholeness and direction.

Ritual Theatre unfolds through a dynamic group process that draws upon myth, ritual, play, improvisation, movement, costumery, and symbolic props.

Together, these elements create a living experiential space where participants explore personal and collective depths. This process invites healing, catharsis, and deeper understanding—while also embracing spontaneity, vitality, and carefree joy.

~ Testimonials ~

I had the honor of sitting in ceremony with Kevin as a guide in a nature therapeutics program. I left feeling deeply nourished by his soulful facilitation. As a woman, I felt seen, safe and supported by his skillful emotional attunement and awareness of power and privilege. His way with words is like delicious food for the heart and mind. He embodies earth-rooted integrity, relatable humanity, and a delightful sense of humor. It was a great joy to sit in a circle with Kevin, and I wholeheartedly encourage anyone to participate in a ceremony guided by him.
